The button also appeared in solid grey (highlighted) as an otherwise normal-looking button, just without an icon, when moused-over. I had this exact same problem - some but not all extensions that do have icons and are able to be added to the toolbar via "Customize" suddenly had no icons although there was a space for the extension button / icon on the toolbar and the tooltip for the extension appeared on mouseover. I was hoping someone else had a similar experience. The latter ones in the list eventually reversed the breakage. I believe these were the addon I disabled, in order, on the way to possibly narrowing down the cause. So I know that this would seem to indicate an addon conflict, but my problem is that I have no way to confirm it because this bug only occurs infrequently. I finally discover that if I started disabling addons in bunches of five, restarting, and then another five, the the ones farther down on the list that were not disabled were eventually restored, at which point I was able to re-enable the disabled addons with no problem. The only icons you consistently see are custom buttons and some of the default Firefox icons like "Show Your History", "Shoe Sidebar", etc. You see a few "random" addons displayed properly in these images, but in later occurrences, no addon icons displayed properly. A similar phenomenon happens in the Addon managerĮrror when trying to click on a blank toolbar icon My toolbar addon icons become disabled/inaccessible blank placeholders. By adding internet shortcuts to your start menu you can have faster access to your favorite sites.I don't know if my experience is the exactly the same as the OP
